Hi, I’m Giles!

I am the founder of the Bio-Therapeutic Manipulation approach to healing and the main course leader

My teaching career…

I began my teaching career in 1996 as an external examiner for the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), and went on to teach the Master’s level paediatric module at the European School of Osteopathy from 1998 to 1999. In 1997, I qualified as an assistant tutor with the SCCO, becoming a full faculty member in 1999.

In 1998, I founded my own international school, Integrated Osteopathic Studies (IOS), and in 2015 began teaching Bio-Therapeutic Manipulation (BTM). Over the years, I have also worked as an external lecturer with biodynamics faculties in Spain, Switzerland, and the UK, specialising in paediatrics and foundational osteopathic principles.

My teaching has taken me around the world, delivering a broad and comprehensive curriculum in countries including Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

Teaching has been a deeply rewarding and integral part of my professional life, and I continue to be inspired to share the knowledge and experience I have gained through decades of practice.

A little about me…

Since I qualified from the European School of Osteopathy in 1984 I have spent my career expanding my knowledge and honing the craft of what I call Bio-Therapeutic Manipulation. Early on, I undertook additional informal training in Traditional Chinese Medicine alongside colleagues at the Natural Health Clinic in Bristol, UK. Inspired to deepen my understanding of holistic care, I later studied homeopathy and was awarded a diploma from the School of Homeopathy in Uffculme, Devon, in 1990.

Over a period of three years I spent time in Australia, where I completed a Master’s degree in Osteopathic Paediatric Medicine at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in 1997. Following this, I had the privilege of working at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London before establishing my own children’s clinic in Bristol in 1998.

Between 1986 and 2000, my practice steadily developed into a multidisciplinary clinic, culminating in the founding of the Chandos Clinic in Bristol. The clinic became recognised as a centre of excellence for osteopathic care, offering a range of approaches including biodynamic, cranial-sacral, and structural techniques.
